With the character-strong materials of the Janua collection, the designers combine wood, stone and metal to create a sensual round table. A round solid wood or stone tabletop sits on slightly curved metal struts varying widths.

FOYAITE (hard stone): Janua’s natural stones are always finished with a silky matte leather surface. This is carried out in two steps: The natural stone is ground according to its hardness. Hard rocks must be ground significantly longer than soft rocks. Subsequently, the surface is worked with brushes of varying degrees of hardness. The result is a matte appearance and a high-low relief. Like brushed wood surfaces, the harder areas of the natural stone remain elevated while the softer veins and areas gain a depth relief. The stone does not shine and resembles leather. This form of surface treatment is also referred to as a satin finish. Natural stone surfaces with a leather look are versatile and easier to care for than polished to smoothed stone surfaces.
